Moments and Moods at the Tel Aviv Fashion Week

Israel’s fashion empire, Gindi – the soon to be built high class shopping mall – once again called for a week of celebration. Many of Israel’s leading designers and young talents came together to participate in Tel Aviv Fashion week. Come and join me by the catwalk at the “Upcoming Designers” show!

Before the show I walked around a little to take some pics of the crowd. The smoking area is always the best place to check out the coolest outfits – look at these gorgeous, daring guests. My favorite item is Uriel Yekutiel‘s killer shoes – who you might know him from the smashing videos of Ivri Lider’s The Young Professionals.

The show – sponsored by online shopping heaven, Adika  – was presenting a selection of Israel’s young talents. Rimmaromano was the first to take over the runway – and the last to appear, as they got the jury’s price as the most promising new label. Yoav Rish‘s evening dresses were classy and elegant, while Nouveaou Riche Dog pushed the limits with anrdrogynous menswear collection.

I might be a bit prejudiced with adoring Sister M‘s collection – as I wrote about them several times. These girls are such inspirational artists. For them beauty is never  artificial – every outfit seems to be in perfect harmony with the label’s Middle Eastern roots, and the demands of the women of modern age.  I also loved Liron Itzhakov‘s playful and feminine doll-like creations.

Selfie-time! I’ve met my favorite Israeli blogazine’s editor Michal from DreedTea, and ran into the iconic supermodel Michaela Bercu, who was the star of Anna Wintour’s very first Vogue cover. After a few English words we changed to Hungarian, as her parents are from there. It was such a joy, she is such an angel! Also, I couldn’t resist shooting a selfie for with my beloved Uriel Yekutiel.

That’s all folks, see you next year at the Tel Aviv Fashion Week! Meanwhile follow me on Facebook for daily updates and eye candy from Tel Aviv! Ps: I’m on Pinterest as well! Ps: read my post on the previous Gindi Fashion Week, written back in 2012.

All photos by me. I was wearing a shirt with green polka dots by Castro, a silver gray tie by Topman, chequered vest from a vintage shop in London, green jeans by Zara, gray Allstars by Converse
