¡Hola! Barcelona – picture diary from a perfect holiday
“Sometimes you just got to get away with the girls!” says SJP in Sex and The City, and using this as the motto for our vacation my hubby and me left Tel Aviv for Barcelona for a week. Hoping the White City won’t be jealous, I’m showing you the best snapshots of our trip.
I decided before the holiday that I won’t take anything what I won’t wear: only comfy and nice stuff, which can be mixed and matched easily. And of course nothing too tight… as Barcelona is famous of it’s incredibly tasty vegan food.
I loved Veggie Garden, an a la cart vegan restaurant, where we had the tastiest quiche in the Universe. Juicy Jones is also high on my list: a friendly place with daily vegan menu of three courses and a juice. And of course we ate zillions of churros, aka Spanish dounuts.
And what else did we do? We’ve been visiting some really cool bars. This one’s called Cat Bar, and they have a dozen of different draft beers, plus the best vegan burger I ever had.
Taking long night walks… by the end of the trip my legs were so muscled as Madonna’s arms.
Having some fun at Tibidabo: Barcelona’s oldest amusement park took me back to my childhood… except that I was drinking beer all day long, to be fair. The roller coaster ride was a wee bit challenging…
…so I had to go shopping again. These sunglasses are made of real wood, designed by Barcelonian designer group, Ribot.
Spending afternoons at the park. This shot is my favorite one from all my photos taken in Barcelona. Just look at the little girl’s face. And her cute dress!
Visiting Sitges, a town by the sea, a short drive away from Bacelona. The city is famous of being the gayest one in Spain.
You got to love how proud these people are of their famous Bacardi. Wine maker, Facundo Bacardí Massó was born in Sitges, so they raised a statue dedicated to him.
Chillin’ on the gay beach. It was a real pleasure to see how past 50 gay guys still in shape mix with gym boys in their twenties. Tel Aviv’s gay beach is gorgeous but it would be great to learn to respect and accept the older gay generation as well, the way they do it in Sitges.
Showin’ off my new bathing pants – just got it an Blue Bird‘s. Next week I’ll already use in in Tel Aviv!
Happy news: from next week the blog will be even more up to date: I’ll be sharing more post with you guys. Meanwhile stay tuned on Facebook for daily updates!
