5+1 Unforgettable Moments from the Tel Aviv Pride Week 2014

Tel Aviv Pride is like Christmas – we are preparing for it like “How many nights until TLV Pride?”, it’s here and we are all like “OMG this is so fuuun”, and then… it’s just gone. Another year to wait. Another party schedule to try to keep up with. Another outfit to prepare.

However after the Pride we all have something staying with us until next year: the joy of unity, and the photos of the beautiful memories. Here are mine from the Tel Aviv Pride 2014 – but before we start check out my friend Mati Bardosh channeling Madonna’s “No Fear” tattoo in the name of #ArtForFreedom.

1. Picturing the Tel Aviv City Hall

Sparkling in rainbow colors, spreading the conception of love, acceptance and freedom. I’ve never felt so proud being a Tel Avivian.

2. Partying with Amanda Lepore and Willam Belli and Idan Matalon

Moovz social media – the fun online platform for gay guys to connect each other – hosted a fabulous party on the rooftop terrace of the prestigious Hotel Indigo Tel Aviv in honor of a funny video promoting the Tel Aviv pride, starring the two divas.

The ladies were sassy, classy and fabulous always. They thought us how to take the perfect selfie (check out my Dora Abodi shirt inspired by Linsday Lohan’s Kode magazine look), and by my request they even answered a deep philosophical question: “How to end all pain and suffering in the world?”

Amanda says all suffering is coming from jealousy and envy, and Willam pointed out the need to synchronize differences and focus on our similarities. Blonds with brains – a killer combination.

Thank you for the invitation for Tel Aviv gay scene “it boy” and YouTube star Idan Matalon, and many thanks for the beautiful pics to my friend and photographer Sara Salamon.

3. Celebrating the success of Hungarian movie “Land of Storms

Viharsarok

One of my homeland’s very first gay themed feature movie directed by Adam Csaszi won the People’s Choice Award at the TLVfest, Israel’s international LGBTQ movie festival. Check out the trailer for hot Hungarian guys and cold reality about LGBTQ issues in Eastern-Europe.

4. Meeting Mr. Grindr

Having luch with the iconic gay app’s finder, Joel Simkhai was a great experience: interviewing the brain and soul behind the application which basically changed our lives was a honor.

Joel sees himself as a problem solver.”Even being in a relationship one wonders sometimes who’s gay and who’s not. Grindr is not just a hook-up app. It’s for meeting guys around you for whatever reason as soon as possible – and my goal with the app is to make this happen within minutes.”

There is one think you can’t argue with: all the hot Israeli guys are hanging on Grindr during Pride week… and all year around! Hit me up if you’re around and let’s have a soy latte.

5. Showing off my Ugly Duckling pants by Gal Angel at the Pride Parade

One of my favorite designers surprised me with this rainbow colored shorts from her latest collection. Gal’s label is young yet it’s reputation is amazing: her vintage style bathing suits fit and flatter all body types.

Check out Gal’s sizzling hot pop-up shop at the Flea Market of Jaffa, 14 Rabi Pichas street.

+1.  Hanging with my hubby

After some crazy times fed up with work and everyday stress we had two days together, just for the two of us.

We don’t go out much because we prefer just chillin’ at home when we finally get the chance, but this year was an exception: this is us at the opening night of EXPO TLV, an incredible start up presenting the local LGBTQ scene.

Back home – cuddling in the bed with the AC buzzing, redecorating the rooftop terrace and cooking miraculous vegan meals, and hanging out at my new favorite cafe, Casino San Remo – for me that’s what the Pride Weekend was all about.

Next week I’m introducing you an interior designer who’s tips will help us reshape our house and turn it into a home which has it’s own heartbeat.  Stay tuned for more and follow me on Facebook.
